Internet security watchdog SANS Institute warns that phony parking tickets placed on windshields direct motorists to a Web site that claims to have photos of the alleged parking violation. | Investor's Business Daily - Data breaches aren't getting any cheaper, says a study that found the average cost of a data breach for a company has grown to $202 per lost customer record from $197 a year ago. The study, funded by encryption software maker PGP, also found that 3.5% of customers typically stop doing business with a company after a breach. Customer expectations are higher for financial services and health care firms, meaning those sectors experience higher churn rates of 5.5% and 6.5%, respectively, after a data-loss incident. -- read full article |
