| 2008 TCA Summer Press Tour Tidbits: Notes of Interest

| Mediaweek.com - ABC opened its second day of TCA with a Disney Channel session on those amazingly perky Cheetah Girls (Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams) in their latest original movie, The Cheetah Girls One World. Although you already know the plot -- they sing, they dance and they smile and giggle a lot, this time in India -- what set this panel apart from anything we have seen was the diversity of the panel. Next is ABC at 76, followed by CBS (51), NBC (50), PBS (33), Fox (28), Showtime (21), Sci Fi Channel (15), Bravo and FX Networks (11 each) and TNT (10). But I had to take a break from ABC's time to mention that the one and only Gene Simmons (did you catch him on NBC's Celebrity The Apprentice?) will join upcoming Eye net reality/competition Jingles as one of the judges. Jingles, which premieres on Sunday, July 27 at 9 p.m. ET, will feature contestants competing to write and perform the best jingles. Former American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell hosts.

| U.S. video game sales seen up 53 percent in June
