| SMU's Schellas Hyndman (SHELL-us HIGHND-mun) is leaving a collegiate power to try to invigorate a struggling pro team. FC Dallas introduced Hyndman as its new coach Tuesday, less than a month after an embarrassing 5-1 loss in front of the biggest home crowd in franchise history. | FC Dallas has hired SMU's Schellas Hyndman as its new coach. Hyndman will be introduced at a news conference Tuesday as the replacement for Steve Morrow, who was fired May 21. Marco Ferruzzi was the interim coach. Hyndman entered the 2007 season second among active Division I men's soccer coaches with a record of 466-123-49. -- read full article |

| Kenny Cooper scored in the 17th minute to lift FC Dallas to a 1-0 win over Chicago on Sunday. FC Dallas (4-5-4) snapped a three-game losing streak and is 10-0-1 in its last 11 games at home against Chicago (6-4-1). The Fire lost their first road game of the season.
