| The New York Red Bulls signed the older brother of New York Giants tight end Kevin Boss to their 28-man roster on Monday. Contract terms were not disclosed. Both the Red Bulls and Giants play their home games in Giants Stadium. | Preston Burpo made four saves and the Colorado Rapids shut out the Chicago Fire 2-0 on Sunday and kept themselves in the playoff chase. | Dynamo match postponed by Ike (AP) |
| The Houston Dynamo's game against the El Salvadoran club Luis Angel Firpo on Wednesday at Robertson Stadium has been postponed by Hurricane Ike. Dynamo chief operating officer Chris Canetti told the Houston Chronicle that the team is working with Firpo to find a makeup date. | Andre Rocha scored his second career goal in the 79th minute to help FC Dallas end a two-game losing skid with a 2-2 draw against D.C. United on Saturday night.
