| Jim Curtin scored in the 90th minute to lift Chivas USA to a 1-1 tie with the Houston Dymano on Saturday night. Dwayne De Rosario converted a penalty kick in the 50th minute to give Houston a 1-0 lead. | New York Red Bulls defender Carlos Mendes had surgery in Germany on Thursday to repair a sports hernia. Mendes is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks. He probably will miss the rest of the season unless the Red Bulls make the playoffs and advance beyond the first round.
