    Investor's Business Daily - The number of text messages sent by U.S. cell phone users soared to 75 bil in June, a 160% jump over the total for June 2007, says a new report from wireless industry group CTIA. CTIA says the increase underscores the fact that for American consumers, wireless service increasingly means much more than just voice calls. For the 1st half of '08, wireless data service revenue is up 40% vs. a year ago, totaling $14.8 bil.
