| OU player stabbed in brawl out of hospital |
| An Oklahoma basketball player stabbed at a Norman nightclub has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, Sooners coach Jeff Capel said Thursday.
Freshman guard Ray Willis was released from hospital care on Wednesday.
"He sustained multiple wounds, one of which resulted in a partially collapsed lung," Capel said. "Although there is no timetable for his return to the court, we expect him to be ready for the start of practice in mid-October. -- read full article |

Football defensive end Frank Alexander and freshman basketball guard Ray Willis sustained knife wounds during the Sunday morning altercation, officers said in a news release.

| Keon Lawrence has transferred from Missouri to play basketball at Seton Hall.
Lawrence can practice with the Pirates this season, but he can't play in games until the 2009-10 season.

| NBA players union suspends agent |
| The National Basketball Players Association suspended player agent Calvin Andrews for one year Friday for alleged recruiting improprieties regarding former Southern California star O.J. Mayo.
The union said its Disciplinary Committee has reserved the right to take further action against Andrews.
