| LSU's Bertman could be out of hospital soon |
| LSU's outgoing athletic director and former national championship baseball coach Skip Bertman could go home as early as Monday after being hospitalized with what doctors believed were early signs of a heart attack.
LSU sports spokesman Herb Vincent said the 70-year-old Bertman was resting Sunday after doctors on Saturday placed a stent in one of the main arteries carrying blood from the heart.

| An LSU spokesman says outgoing athletic director and former national championship baseball coach Skip Bertman has been hospitalized with what doctors believe are early signs of a heart attack.
LSU sports spokesman Herb Vincent said Saturday night that the 70-year-old Bertman was resting comfortably.

| AD White leaving Notre Dame; Conboy takes over |
| Kevin White is leaving Notre Dame to become Duke's athletic director.
White will be introduced as Joe Alleva's replacement Saturday afternoon during a news conference at Duke, two people familiar with the hiring process told The Associated Press. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement had not been made.

| Authorities are investigating whether former Southern California basketball star O.J. Mayo received benefits paid for by a sickle-cell charity, according to a report published Friday.

The 66-year-old Hall of Famer says a lump removed from his neck on May 6 was malignant. He is to undergo six weeks of radiation treatments next month. His doctors say there should be no long-term effects from the radiation. They expect him to return to a normal lifestyle, including coaching.

| Rutgers head coach Hill gets 2-year extension |
| Rutgers has given basketball coach Fred Hill a two-year contract extension, but he will not receive a salary increase under the deal.
Hill's contract, which was announced Thursday, will run through 2012-13.
Hill, 48, became the 16th head coach in school history when he succeeded Gary Waters in March 2006. He received a five-year contract worth $500,000 per year counting base salary and other considerations. -- read full article |

| A court spokesman confirmed that Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson and his second wife, Christine Olson, have reached a divorce settlement.
Pima County Superior Court spokesman David Ricker said the judge in the case told him Thursday that lawyers had canceled a planned meeting on Friday because the couple came to a settlement agreement.
