    Duquesne University athletic director Greg Amodio signed a five-year extension Tuesday that extends his contract through the 2013-14 academic year.     UCLA, Howland agree to seven-year deal
    UCLA coach Ben Howland, who has guided the Bruins to the Final Four each of the past three years, agreed to a new seven-year contract with the university Tuesday. The deal, which adds one year onto the agreement he signed last October, runs through the 2014-15 season and includes a guaranteed $1.97 million for next season, rising to $2.3 million in the final year of the contract.     Fulmer, Pearl get new deals through 2014
    Tennessee signed football coach Phillip Fulmer and basketball coach Bruce Pearl to new deals Wednesday that will keep them with the Volunteers through 2014. Fulmer's deal is worth an average of nearly $3 million over the next seven seasons, and the nearly $1 million raise makes him the fourth-highest paid coach in the Southeastern Conference.     Davidson's McKillop gets extension through 2015-16
    When Davidson coach Bob McKillop signed a contract extension a year ago, there was no announcement, no news conference, no publicity.     Indiana AD to resign amid NCAA basketball probe
    Indiana University has announced athletic director Rick Greenspan will resign at the end of December. The resignation comes amid NCAA allegations that former men's basketball coach Kelvin Sampson committed four major recruiting violations during his 1 1/2-year tenure at the school.     Former Texas Tech coach Robison dies
    Polk Robison, whose success as Texas Tech's basketball coach helped the school break into the Southwest Conference in 1956, has died. He was 96. Robison died early Friday, university spokesman Chris Cook said. Robison coached Texas Tech from 1942 to 1961 and was its athletic director from 1961 to 1969. As a coach, he had a career record of 248-195, the second-most wins in school history. His teams won three consecutive Border Conference titles. -- read full article
