| UMass suspends Wiggins following arrest |
| The University of Massachusetts has suspended guard Doug Wiggins after he was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of breaking and entering.
The university says Wiggins was suspended indefinitely for his involvement in the incident, which occurred off campus in Amherst over the weekend.
Police confirmed Wiggins' arrest but declined to give any details. Coach Derek Kellogg said the team is waiting to get all the facts.

| North Carolina remained the unanimous No. 1 choice in The Associated Press' college basketball poll Monday after welcoming back player of the year Tyler Hansbrough.
Connecticut and Louisville stayed second and third. Xavier became the first new team to move into the rankings this season.
Hansbrough returned from a right leg injury to score 13 points in 25 minutes for the Tar Heels in an 84-67 win over UC Santa Barbara.
