| Illini coach says Frazier unlikely for NCAA opener |
| Illinois coach Bruce Weber says injured guard Chester Frazier is a long shot to play in the Illini's NCAA Tournament opener against Western Kentucky on Thursday.
If the senior defensive workhorse plays, Weber says it'll only be a little.
Weber says even a few minutes of Frazier might help fifth-seeded Illinois (24-9) against the 12th-seed Hilltoppers. Western Kentucky (24-8) relies heavily on its guards.

| Louisville is No. 1 in final AP hoops poll |
| Louisville added one more thing to a week that saw it sweep the Big East titles and earn the overall No. 1 seed for the NCAA tournament: the school's first appearance atop The Associated Press' college basketball poll.

| Fla., Auburn, San Diego St., Creighton top NIT field |
| Passed over by the NCAA tournament selection committee, Saint Mary's didn't even manage a top seed in the NIT.
The Gaels and playmaking guard Patrick Mills fell to the second line Sunday for the 32-team tournament, placed in the same bracket with San Diego State.
Joining the Aztecs as top seeds were Auburn, Creighton and Florida, which earned the dubious distinction of becoming the first team to follow consecutive national titles with back-to-back NIT berths. -- read full article |
