| Police find missing '56 basketball gold medalist |
San Carlos police say they've found a 75-year-old member of the 1956 Olympic champion U.S. basketball team who wandered from his home and was missing for four days.
Police say Robert Jeangerard, who has Alzheimer's disease, left his San Carlos home Monday night. He was taken Wednesday to an Oakland hospital but was unable to fully identify himself.
Hospital officials were able to identify Jeangerard on Friday.

| Report: Ford interviewed for 76ers job |
Chris Ford, a pro scout with the Philadelphia 76ers who was interim coach five years ago, has interviewed for the team's head coaching job.
A person with knowledge of the interview said Friday that Ford was one of two candidates team president Ed Stefanski did not announce. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because Ford's interview was not disclosed.

| Ex-Vols guard surrenders on robbery charges |
Former University of Tennessee basketball guard Ramar Smith is accused of taking money, guns and marijuana in a home invasion and robbery, according to court records.
Knox County Jail Officer Betty Shelton told The Associated Press that the 22-year-old Smith turned himself in early Thursday on a charge of aggravated robbery. He was later released on $15,000 bond.

| Illinois' Weber gets 50 percent raise, extension |
Illinois basketball coach Bruce Weber is getting a big raise after his team's surprising turnaround last season.
University trustees voted Thursday to raise Weber's pay by 50 percent and extend his contract by three years, through April 2015.
Weber's pay will increase immediately from $1 million to $1.25 million a year. Starting in January, Weber will be paid $1.5 million a year.
The Illini were 24-10 and finished second in the Big Ten before losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

| C.J. Henry will be eligible to play next year at KU |
Guard C.J. Henry officially enrolled at Kansas on Tuesday and will be eligible to play next season.
The move reunites Henry with his brother, Xavier, and completes one of the most talented incoming classes Kansas ever had.
"We've been waiting to announce C.J. and are proud to formally do it today," said coach Bill Self, who has been recruiting C.J. since 2004.
Self said the 6-foot-4 Henry will be an immediate contributor despite not having played organized basketball for four years.
