    At $3.6M, Coach K by far Duke's richest employee
    Coach K remains Duke's highest-paid employee. The school's most recent IRS documents were obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press.     Kentucky man charged in Pitino extortion case
    Federal prosecutors have charged a Kentucky man with helping an alleged extortion attempt against University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino. Lester Goetzinger is charged with aiding and abetting 49-year-old Karen Cunagin Sypher in her alleged attempt to extort millions from Pitino. Court papers filed late Wednesday show prosecutors have reached a deal with Goetzinger that requires him to go through a pretrial diversion program.

    BYU coach Rose says cancer appears gone
    BYU basketball coach Dave Rose says he appears to be free of cancer and plans on being back next season. Rose underwent emergency surgery earlier this month, when doctors removed his spleen and a mass that tested positive for cancer. The tumor had started in Rose's pancreas and spread to his spleen and caused internal bleeding. He held a news conference Wednesday and said the surgery apparently got the entire tumor.
