    Nebraska RB Castille dismissed by team (AP)
    Running back Quentin Castille has been dismissed from the Nebraska football program for violating unspecified team rules. Coach Bo Pelini did not elaborate on the violations committed by the junior from La Porte, Texas. Pelini announced the dismissal following the No. 24 Cornhuskers' practice on Saturday, even though Castille has not practiced with the team for several days. -- read full article

    Back keeps Gators' Tebow out of drills (AP)
    Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was held out of contact drills this week because of a sore lower back. Coach Urban Meyer said Saturday that Tebow is "fine, 100 percent," adding that the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner will be back to full speed in practice Monday and had no disk issues.     BYU offensive lineman Houston Reynolds has torn the ACL in his right knee. Reynolds injured his knee during practice Friday and an MRI showed the tear.     2 Tulane players positive for swine flu (AP)
    About a dozen Tulane football players have come down with what the school describes as flu-like symptoms. An athletic spokesman says two have tested positive for the variety that includes swine flu.     Jacksonville St. suspends QB Perrilloux (AP)

    Champs Sports Bowl, Big East reach deal (AP)
    The Big East has announced an agreement that will give the Champs Sports Bowl the choice of any conference team not headed to a Bowl Championship Series game, starting next football season. The conference and the bowl announced the four-year agreement on Tuesday.
