(AP)
|
| AP - "Downtown Owl" (Scribner. $24. 271 pages), by Chuck Klosterman: The best thing about "Downtown Owl," Chuck Klosterman's first stab at fiction, is this: Every key character sounds suspiciously like Chuck Klosterman.

| Review: Iraq tale `Lucky Ones' wallows in artifice
(AP)
|
| AP - Soldiers might be clamoring to re-enlist if they all saw as much action in their homecoming as the threesome in "The Lucky Ones." Returning to combat could seem like a picnic in comparison with the tumult these three endure once back on U.S. soil.

| Richard Gere, Diane Lane reunite in stormy romance
(Reuters)
|
| Reuters - Judging from the part of the ad that says, ". . . from the author of 'The Notebook,'" you might suspect that this particular Richard Gere-Diane Lane reunion isn't going to be the torrid affair that was 2002's "Unfaithful," and of course you'd be quite right.
