    Wilmington, NC becomes the first to go digital (AP)

    An analog-only television set displays the message that began broadcasting at noon, as the transition from analog to digital television signals in Wilmington, N.C.,began Monday, September 8, 2008. Wilmington is the nation's test market for the transition to digital, with the rest of the nation to follow in February 2009.
