| The Detroit Shock have acquired six-time All-Star Taj McWilliams-Franklin from the Washington Mystics for forwards Tasha Humphrey and Shay Murphy and a 2009 second-round draft pick. Detroit becomes McWilliams-Franklin's fifth team in her 10 WNBA seasons. She joined the Mystics in April and has averaged 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds this season. -- read full article |

| Mercury sign Olympia Scott (AP) |
| The Phoenix Mercury signed forward Olympia Scott to a contract for the rest of the WNBA season Thursday. Scott played eight games last year for the champion Mercury. The 10-year veteran has played for six teams in her career and has career averages of 4.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. | The Sacramento Monarchs re-signed free agent DeMya Walker on Monday, two months after releasing her with what was believed to be a season-ending knee injury.
