| Chamique Holdsclaw has returned to the WNBA. The seven-time All-Star signed a multiyear deal Monday with the Atlanta Dream, which continues to revamp its roster following a 4-30 campaign during its inaugural season. | Former Michigan State star Kristin Haynie has signed with the Detroit Shock, adding some perimeter depth to the WNBA champions. Haynie averaged 2.8 points and 2.5 assists last season for the Atlanta Dream. | The Los Angeles Sparks have traded point guard Temeka Johnson to Phoenix in exchange for the Mercury's 2010 first-round draft pick. Johnson averaged 6.4 point and 4.0 assists in 66 career games with the Sparks, who announced the trade Thursday. | The Sparks have re-signed guard Marta Fernandez, bringing the Spanish player back after a one-year absence. Fernandez averaged 8.7 points, 3.0 assists and 2.1 rebounds while starting 20 of 34 games in her first stint with the Sparks in 2007. | Seattle Storm forward Swin Cash has undergone surgery to repair a disk in her lower back. The team said Monday's surgery for the two-time WNBA All-Star was a success at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The anticipated rehabilitation time is eight to 12 weeks. | The Los Angeles Sparks and All-Star DeLisha Milton-Jones agreed to a three-year deal Monday that will keep her with the WNBA team through the 2012 season. Financial terms were not disclosed.
