    US troops pull out of Afghan base after attack (AP)

    US soldiers guard the site of a suicide attack in Kabul, Afghanistan. White House hopeful Barack Obama Tuesday promised to shift the AP - U.S. and Afghan troops have abandoned a remote outpost in eastern Afghanistan where militants killed nine American soldiers this week, officials said Wednesday.
